NASSAU COUNTY, FL., February 22, 2021 —The Pride were victorious Saturday night with a 135-111 win over the St. Augustine Glory. “Overall it was a good team performance by the guys” said Coach Joshua. The Pride got off to a slow start but locked in defensively for the remainder of the game. The Pride’s Hari Hall-Bey and Jawaun Lewis made their team debut Saturday night. Hari Hall-Bey had an impressive 20 point, 13 rebound, 4 assists and 3 blocks. Both men will be big for the Pride moving forward.
Tyrone Young led the team in steals and Chris Williams protected the paint with fierce precision. “I can see the chemistry in our guys building game by game. Its truly a great thing to see” said Coach Joshua. Coach Joshua also acknowledged Dylon Cormier making history with the franchise’s first triple-doubled, finishing with 39 points, 14 rebounds, and 12 assists. “We are excited the direction team is going, these guys put in a lot of hard work and effort day in and day out. Some days are harder than others, but they have the tools to make a deep run in the playoffs” said Darrin Eakins, President of Basketball Operations.
The Pride look forward to their next game as they travel to Baker County, FL to take on the St. Mary’s Bucks this Saturday, February 27th.
